Silene aff davidii ‘Kanteensis’

Silene aff davidii Kanteensis

Silene aff davidii 'Kanteensis'.  We obtained this plant from Harvey and Irene Wrightman of Wrightman’s Alpines when they came into town to speak at our NARGS meeting.  Harvey describes this plant as being collected by Josef Halda in Sichuan, China.  It forms a yellow-green cushion with large, stemless purple pink flowers in spring.  Grow in sun to partial sun in gritty, well-drained soil.   Hardy to -20 degrees F.
