Scleranthus biflorus


Scleranthus biflorus forms a creeping bright green mat with small needle-like foliage and tiny inconspicuous flowers in summer.  4″ x up to 3′  The foliage is a little larger and looser than S. uniflorus, see below. Grow in sun in very well drained soil with regular water.  Found in grasslands and among rocks in New Zealand, Tasmania and Australia.  Hardy to 0 F. Caryophyllaceae
