Saxifraga ‘Macedonica’

Saxifraga 'Macedonica' forms a dense cushion of tiny encrusted leaves with multi-flowering stems with pale yellow flowers in spring.  Sun to part shade, gritty well drained soil and moderate summer water.  Hardy to -10 degrees F.

We have not been able to verify the identity of this dwarf cushion saxifrage. Our plant came from John Nichols of Little Tree Nursery who in turn obtained much of his collection from the late Steve Doonan.  We would welcome input from anyone who can help us with its background.  It is a fine plant with good form.
