Pulsatilla halleri ssp taurica


Pulsatilla halleri ssp taurica is another gorgeous spring blooming alpine with fuzzy, red violet flowers with a yellow center to 12″ high.    Also known as Pulsatilla taurica, it is native to Crimea where it is found on cliffs, mountain slopes and growing in dry grasses.  Grow in sun to part shade in very well drained soil.  Drought tolerant.  Hardy to -20 degrees F.  Ranunculaceae
