Primula auricula hyb. - Yellow Flower

Primula-auricula-garden

Primula auricula, the garden auricula, is an easy to grow perennial in containers or in the open garden.  It has gray-green foliage and bright yellow flowers in spring.  Some individuals in this seed raised collection have the silver farina dusted leaves associated with show auriculas.  When grown in the garden, the farina tends to wash away but this does not detract from its charm.  Grow in well drained soil in sun to part shade.    6” X 10”.   Extremely cold hardy to –40 degrees F. Primulaceae
