Lilium martagon

Lilium martagon has deep pink-lavender Turk’s cap flowers on stems up to 5 ft.  Sun to part shade, humus rich, well drained soil with moderate summer water.  Native to Eurasia. Hardy to -40 degrees F.  Locals may recall this showy and free flowering lily featured on a main pathway at the now closed Berry Botanic Garden in Portland, Oregon.
