Iris unguicularis ‘Walter Butt’


Iris unguicularis ‘Walter Butt’, the winter blooming or Algerian iris, produces fragrant, silver-lavender flowers in winter to early spring.  The flowers ares nestled within a clump of linear leaves that are slightly wider than the species to 18″ high and 24″ wide.  Grow in sun to part shade in well drained soil with low to moderate water.  It is quite drought tolerant.  Iridaceae
