Cyclamen coum – Silver Leaf form


This is  the silver leaf form of the winter to early spring flowering Cyclamen coum.  The rounded leaves  have a distinct silver center and it produces pink flowers with a light pink eye at the base of the flower. Grow in partial sun to shade. It is a tuberous perennial with a summer dormancy period and should be kept drier during this period. It is often grown in the drier soils found at the base of trees and shrubs. Hardy to – 10 degrees F. Found in shady woodlands in the eastern Mediterrenean and the Caucasus. Primulaceae
