Acinos alpinus, rock thyme, is a creeping groundcover with lovely dark purple flowers in summer.  It is a fairly drought tolerant, sun lover and looks great growing among rocks or along paths.   2″ high x 8” + wide   Grow in full sun in gritty, well drained soil with occaisional water.  Use in rock gardens, raised beds, or containers.  May self sow.  Native to rocky hillsides of Southern and Central Europe.  Cold hardy to -30 degrees F.   Lamiaceae.
