Cushion forming, dwarf, evergreen perennial 2” X 8” with pink, rarely white, flowers in summer.  

Sun to part shade, gritty, sharply drained soil.   Hardy to –30 degrees F.  

Arctic-alpine with a circumpolar distribution. Caryophyllaceae
