Tufts of gray-green leaves with orange flowers in summer. 8” x 8” Full sun, deep, sharply drained soil, regular water. Can be short-lived but self-sows readily. Native to the mountains of Europe. Hardy to -20 degrees F. Papaveraceae

This very compact poppy is only 6” x 4”. It has gray-green leaves and pale yellow flowers - followed by attractive seed heads - and blooms over a long period. Grow in full sun in deep, sharply drained soil.  Grow in small-scale rock gardens, troughs and other containers.   Can be short-lived but produces copious amounts of seeds.  Hardy to –30 degrees F. A free flowering poppy with tufts of mid-green leaves from which emerges long stems topped with a single large double, orange flowers.  Blooms over a long period.  18” x 8”  Grow in full sun in deep, well drained soil.  As with all poppies, it can be short-lived but self-sows readily.  The species is native to the imestone cliffs and crevices of Sierra de Grazalema in Southern Spain.  Hardy to -10 degrees F. Papaveraceae
